WHO ARE WE?

GNSD aims to connect youth worldwide, and empower young people to be change makers. We educate students about principles of environmental and social sustainability, as well as about the importance of non-violent conflict resolutions. Learning by doing is one of the most effective methods for achieving this goal. We intend to involve students in community projects through Peace and Sustainability Clubs we create in schools globally.

GNSD was launched in Kathmandu in November 2014.  For the first two years the network was functioning as a project of Arizona State University, and in August 2017 it was registered in Arizona as an acting globally NGO. In January 2018 GNSD received a 509 (A) (2) status. Although GNSD is open to partner with governmental and faith based organizations that share its mission, the network does not represent any particular political or religious orientation.

For the 55th and 56th consecutive weeks, the Center for Peace & Conflict Studies has compiled a LIST OF ACTS OF KINDNESS AND PEACE.  The initiative began as a response to COVID-19 and the racism pandemic but has broadened to include any act of compassion or service to others. Please share these stories. If you have stories of positive acts people/organizations are taking and you would like to share them, please email them to Brandon Miller at peacecenter@bsu.edu.

It is our privilege to introduce the new and expanded edition of the book
