Arturo was born and raised in Colorado. He has two older brothers, and one younger sister. His mother is a caretaker for the elderly. His father graduated from Colorado State University with the master degree in education, and is a retired elementary school teacher. Currently Arturo is pursuing degree in Psychology at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His minor is in Criminal Justice and History.
Arturo graduated from Lakewood High School in 2021. During his high school years, he was playing guitar in the band “1000 Times” where he was performing music of multiple genres, including rock, jazz, indie, and blues. In 2019 the band won “The Battle of The Band” Competition. He has been working as a Lifeguard for the City of Lakewood since summer 2019, and as a Head Lifeguard since March 2020.
He joined GNSD EXECUTIVE TEAM as an intern to offer administrative assistance to Sister Schools Project. He hopes that his experience with GNSD will help him to better understand problems of today’s world, and contribute to creating a global partnership for sustainable development.
