Ashima completed her doctoral studies in Forensic Science from Gujarat Forensic Sciences University in India. She has worked as an Assistant Professor for two years at Galgotias University, India where she taught Forensic Biology subjects and tools and techniques of Forensic Science. She also developed course curricula and material while serving as main liaison for the Department of Basic and Applied Science at Galgotias University.
In industry, Ashima worked with Authbridge Research Services where she developed content and organized fraud investigation training sessions for clients. She also investigated various corporate fraud cases and gained expertise in identification of issues through analysis of evidence. During her doctoral studies and work at Galgotias University, Ashima developed an interest in environment and sustainability. She enrolled herself at the TERI School of Advanced Studies in MBA Business Sustainability. As part of different internships during her course, she worked on the following projects: :

Ashima has published papers in International Journals, and participated in conferences like International Conference on Agribusiness in Emerging Economies, New Delhi, All India Forensic Science Conference, India and Sustainability Standards: International Dialogues & Conference, 2016-India. She has a penchant for education, social and environmental awareness. She firmly believes it to be a solution to many problems. Currently, her interest areas are education for global citizenship and the role of NGOs in achieving Sustainable development goals.
