Two years ago the Shree Siddihi Ganesh Primary School, Dang District (NEPAL) lacked desk for students, had no electricity and not even one computer. 130 children were taught by just 5 teachers. It was an environment where access to education was provided but then the quality of education was very poor.
There are many schools in Nepal, India and some African countries that have similar extremely poor infrastructure. They are unable to meet their educational goals. It seems that without assistance from countries that are economically developed the improvement of quality of education will be barely visible.
At GNSD, we aim to empower young people to be change agent that promote peaceful coexistence and sustainability as we race to achieve the SDG’s. Through the Sister Schools Project we connected the Shree Siddhi Ganesh Primary School with St. John Paul Catholic School in Poland, that as a sister school raised $ 800 to install electricity, internet, desk, to buy computer and printer.
GNSD is planning to scale the implementation of its mission by creating in schools Sustainability and Peace Clubs, and paring clubs from schools in economically developed countries with these poor schools. We will be happy to provide you with more information to help guide your decision to donate to GNSD. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by phone. You may also contact by phone (+1 602 295-9688) Dr. Marek Wosinski, President of GNSD.
