Dr. Wosinski received his degrees in psychology (with specialization in clinical and educational psychology) from the University of Warsaw (Poland). He had internships in Montreal, London, and in various mental health institutions in Poland. In the years 1965 – 1990 he taught at Warsaw University, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, and finally at the Silesian University in Katowice where he was a Director of Center for Teachers Education.
In 1990 he began teaching at ASU. Among other basic psychology courses, Dr. Wosinski has been teaching Community Psychology and Multicultural Perspective on Community Development. In the year 2000 he was a finalist for the ASU Teacher of the Year Award and he received the 2008 Outstanding Educator Award granted by the Society for Community Research and Action. He published 4 books and 60 articles in Polish and international journals. He retired from teaching at ASU in 2017, but held the position of Adjunct Faculty at the Department of Psychology till 2020. He is still a Senior Sustainability Scientist at the ASU Global Institute of Sustainability.
Through his entire career Dr. Wosinski has been very active on the international arena. He was teaching as a visiting professor in the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden. As a guest lecturer and motivational speaker, he has been presenting throughout Europe, North/South America and Australia to diversified audiences: teenagers, teachers, medical doctors, managers, parents, senior citizens, and others. He organized two Summer Institutes on Community at Arizona State University with participation of students, faculty and local community professionals. He presented papers to numerous international conferences.
From 2007 till January 2014, Dr. Wosinski was building and facilitating the University-Community Partnership for Social Action Research Network (UCP-SARnet). In 2012 UCP-SARnet initiated partnership between Arizona State University (USA), Gandhi Research Foundation (India), and Jain Irrigation Systems, Ltd. (multinational company headquartered in India) that was formalized by signing a collaboration agreement in July 2012. The partnership has organized two EmPeace LABS (Empowerment for Peace through Leadership in Agribusiness and Sustainability; Eradicating Poverty in Rural Communities), a leadership-training programs committed to building a strong foundation for global peace by preparing young professionals for leadership in agri-business and sustainability.
From September 2014 till July 2020 Dr. Wosinski was the president of Sustainability Transition Consulting, LLC, that became a member of Smart Cities Council. SusTranCon organized numerous conferences, also in collaboration with Dejian Liu and Ronghuai Huang (Dean of Smart Learning Institute of Beijing University) worked on the book Smart Learning in Smart Cities analyzing learning environment in smart cities in China (published by Springer.)
Also in September 2014, together with some partcipants of EmPeaceLABS workshops, he created the Global Network for Sustainable Development, where he served as a President till July 2020, and currently is the member of the Board of Directors.
