ACTIVITES OF THE EXECUTIVE TEAM JUNE - AUGUST, 2018
08/13 Executive Team met with Dr. Steven Nurberg, Chair of PASU Psychology De[artment, and Annie Hele, the Director of Research & Development for the Sustainability Science Education Project housed in the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University. Dr. Kim Eagles, Member of GNSD Advisory Committee and Professor at SIAS International University in China, was also present. This was the agenda of the meeting:
1. End of the founding year: new Board of Directors, Executive Team and Advisory Committee, annual report, braches in India and Nepal, internship program.
2. Progress of negotiations with IKDAR

IVECA: Center for International Virtual Schooling pursues to implement the intercultural education program IVECA into all levels of schools across the world. The Center also conducts research and strives to provide the necessary educational support system in collaboration with other universities, the United Nations, UNESCO, international NGOs and business groups.
Inwelle Centre –Nigerian non-profit organization with the mission to alleviate the difficulty faced by indigent youth and women.
08/09 Dr. Marek met with Dr. Krishna Kumar, President of TIARA International Consulting, and Member of GNSD Advisory Committee to discuss some business aspects of development of GNSD.
08/09 Dr. Marek met with Dr. Kim Eagles, Member of GNSD Advisory Committee and Professor at SIAS International University in China, to discuss organization of the Leadership Camp in China.

07/29 The first meeting of the new Board of Directors. Board of Directors meeting. Below is the outline of the discussion:
Policy document presented to the Board of directors and now waiting for the responses through voting ballot.
MOU with Belouga presented to the Board of directors and now waiting for the approval through voting ballot.
Discussed the status quo of MOU with IKDAR
Dr. Marek stressed on increasing the number of clubs in the current year. He also mentioned about creating curriculum for clubs. He told about the expansion of GNSD in Qatar and Nigeria.
Dr. Chen mentioned about the two day workshop in Jinan University and the role of GNSD in setting up peace clubs in universities.
Birendra Kumar mentioned the status of peace clubs in India. He also suggested how each member can identify small relevant projects and start implementing them.
Dr. Sapna Narula discussed targeting Delhi government schools. She mentioned the need for peace clubs in Kashmir and Jharkhand.
Megan stressed on improving the website in order to raise funds and grant writing.
Dr. Joseph mentioned about 7-8 peace clubs in Rwanda and connecting the clubs to GNSD.
Georgina, spoke about the role of peace clubs around the world and is interested in connecting GNSD Peace clubs around the world with Global Citizenship education + Culture of Peace curriculums / through UN related communities.
Ashima mentioned about working on the activities and curriculum for the sustainability clubs.
07/26 Dr. Marek participated in the online Global Citizenship Workshop.
07/26 Dr. Marek and Megan McDormatt, Vice-President of GNSD, met with Megan Lucero Gonzales, new Treasurer of GNSD.
07/21 Dr. Marek met with Jerrie Ueberle, President of the World Academy of the Future of Women, and the Member of GNSD Board of Directors,, to discuss organization of Leadership Camp in China.
07/19 Dr. Marek participated in an online Seminar on Education .
07/06 Dr. Marek met with Evin Schwartsz to continue the discussion on partnership between Belouga and GNSD.
06/30 Dr. Marek met with Ruchi Kumar, member of GNSD Advisory Committee.

06/27 Dr. Marek participated in the Leadership Training organized by the Leadership Society of Arizona.

06/27 Dr. Marek met with Prof Rober Cialdini ,ASU Professor Emeritus, to discuss the progress in development of GNSD, and to invite him to join GNSD Board of Directors. The invitation was accepted.
