Oleksandr is from Kyiv (Ukraine) and currently lives in Krakow (Poland) where he recently received Master Degree in molecular biotechnology from Jagiellonian University (UJ).  His first contact with microbiology dates to 2015 when he was at high school.  After he published his first science work, he decided to go this direction. Due to his keen interest in the field of microbiology he was admitted to Jagiellonian University. It offered the ideal environment and equipment for studying biotechnology. The theme of his master’s research was characteristic of the antibacterial agents. Every day, new discoveries are made, new questions are asked, innovative approaches are put to the test, and data is analyzed.  He wants to investigate emerging connections between science and engineering.

When the war in Ukraine started on February 24, lives of all Ukrainians changed.  Oleksandr joined the group of activists from Krakow that for last few months has been holding peace manifestation for Ukraine. They have been spreading our beautiful culture and raising funds to support refugees from Ukraine. He believes that in these difficult times, it is extremely important to understand that we all should live not only for ourselves, but also for the future of new generation. Because of this Oleksandr decided to dedicate his life to others and make personal contribution to education of future generation of leaders. He believes that I believe we will be able to build a world without wars, and build a creative society by providing education to everyone on earth.

Oleksandr can easily acquire new knowledge and is ready to learn how to make his life useful for others. He has knowledge of English language to the extent necessary to communicate and perfect command of written and spoken Polish. He has also good skills in using Microsoft Office. He is outgoing and communicative, likes working with people. His motto in life is “dream about what others are afraid to even think about.” That’s why he really wants to be a leader who can not only propose new ideas, but also the best ways for their realization.
Besides of the above, he likes to read and watch science, psychology, or science-fantasy movies. When he has free time, he likes playing the guitar and train boxing
