Dr. Rohit Sharma is a researcher by profession and has a PhD from TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi. He worked on SLCPs i.e. surface ozone and aerosols, their long-term climatology and seasonal variations using sophisticated monitoring instruments and statistical modelling in urban settings of New Delhi, India. His research looked at the scientific dimension of the of the regional climate change and how does the SLPs interact with each other in an urban environment. Currently, Dr. Sharma is associated with GIZ-India as part of the ongoing Indo-German Bilateral Cooperation between the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEFCC). He is working for strategic implementation of the State Action Plan for Climate Change (SAPCC) in state of Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. During his research tenure, he was selected for many scholarship programs like Erasmus Plus Programme in Freie University, Berlin-Germany, Summer University (SUN) program ofCentral European University (CEU), Budapest-Hungary, ProSPER.Net Young Researchers’ School, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City-Vietnam. Dr Sharma also has prior experience of working with Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Delhi.
